Bring your own ebook and comic files into EverReed and keep your library, reading progress, and book tracking together in a single app. EPUB/KEPUB and PDF remain first-class formats, with support for TXT, safely sanitized HTML/XHTML, DRM-free MOBI/AZW3, and image-based CBZ/CBR comics and manga.

These limits apply to Personal Server downloads. Direct uploads have separate plan limits: Free allows up to 50 MB per file and Plus up to 150 MB. Both sources support the format families above; damaged, encrypted or unsafe files may be rejected. Comic page count and expanded-size safeguards also apply.

Direct uploads support EPUB/KEPUB, PDF, TXT, HTML/XHTML, DRM-free MOBI/AZW3, and CBZ/CBR. Files are stored in EverReed's private app storage tied to your account — not shared with other users.
The same reading system across your library
Supported uploads and supported files from a connected personal server feed into EverReed's existing reading and progress systems, so you do not have a separate library just because a file came from another source.
Text-aware tools where the format supports them
Reflowable ebook formats can use tools such as table of contents, in-book search, dictionary, typography controls, highlights, annotations, and bookmarks. PDF keeps its established reader path.
CBZ and CBR for comics and manga
CBZ and CBR archives open as naturally ordered image pages in the same EverReed reading experience. Page progress and resume are saved, while text-only tools such as dictionary lookup and text highlighting do not apply to image-only pages.
Progress and bookmarks follow the book
Reading position and the reading state supported by that format stay tied to your EverReed account so you can close a book and pick it up again without treating each file format as a separate reader.

Which ebook and comic formats does EverReed support?
Direct uploads support EPUB/KEPUB, PDF, TXT, safely sanitized HTML/XHTML, DRM-free MOBI/AZW3, and CBZ/CBR. The same supported format families can be read from compatible Personal Server/OPDS sources when the server publishes the file in a usable form and it stays within EverReed's normal safety and size limits.
Can EverReed read CBZ and CBR manga or comics?
Yes. CBZ and CBR image archives open as ordered pages in EverReed and use the existing progress and resume system. Because the pages are images, text search, dictionary lookup, typography controls, and text highlighting do not apply to those pages.
Can I upload DRM-protected MOBI or AZW3 books?
No. MOBI and AZW3 support is for DRM-free files. EverReed does not remove or bypass DRM.
Can I read every recommended book in EverReed?
Not automatically. Recommendations show books that may fit your taste, but you can only read a recommendation inside EverReed if you provide a supported file you own or it is available through your personal library server.
Can I upload my own EPUB files?
Yes. You can upload EPUB or KEPUB files you own directly into your library. Each plan has its own limits on total books, storage, and per-file size.
Can I read PDF books?
Yes. PDF files can be uploaded and opened in the built-in reader alongside your other supported files.
Does EverReed save my reading progress?
Yes. Reading progress and the reading state supported by that format are saved to your account so you can pick up where you left off across sessions.
Can I use the reader offline?
Reading works best with a connection so progress and reading state can sync to your account. EverReed is not marketed as an offline-first reader.
