EverReed field guide

An EPUB and PDF reader for the books you already own

Bring your own EPUB and PDF ebook files into EverReed and keep your library, reading progress, and book tracking together in a single app.

What you get

Designed around the way readers actually move.

  • Upload EPUB and PDF files you own

Add your own EPUB or PDF ebooks to EverReed. Files are stored in EverReed's private app storage tied to your account — not shared with other users.

  • Built-in reader on every device

Open your uploads in the built-in EverReed reader. Progress and bookmarks stay in sync with the rest of your library.

  • Table of contents, search, and dictionary

Jump around long books with the table of contents, find any passage with in-book search, and look up words without leaving the page.

  • Highlights, annotations, and bookmarks

Highlight passages, add notes, and drop bookmarks that stay attached to the book — not to the device you happened to read on.

  • Font, theme, and pagination controls

Tune font size, typeface, and light or dark themes. Uploaded EPUBs use section-based pagination so pages stay stable as you resize.

  • One place for tracking and reading

Your uploaded books live alongside the rest of your library — same taste profile, same recommendations, same reading stats.

Useful details

Frequently asked questions.

Does EverReed sell ebooks?

No. EverReed does not sell, provide, or distribute ebook files. You bring your own EPUB or PDF files that you already own, or connect a personal library server you control.

Can I read every recommended book in EverReed?

Not automatically. Recommendations show you books that may fit your taste, but you can only read a recommendation inside EverReed if you upload a supported file you own or it is available through your personal library server.

Which ebook formats does EverReed support?

The upload flow accepts EPUB and PDF files. Older uploads in other formats may still open, but only EPUB and PDF are supported for new uploads.

Can I upload my own EPUB files?

Yes. You can upload EPUB files you own directly into your library. Each plan has its own limits on total books, storage, and per-file size.

Can I read PDF books?

Yes. PDF files can be uploaded and opened in the built-in reader alongside your EPUB uploads.

Does EverReed save my reading progress?

Yes. Reading progress, bookmarks, and highlights are saved to your account so you can pick up where you left off across sessions.

Can I use the reader offline?

Reading works best with a connection so progress and highlights sync to your account. EverReed is not marketed as an offline-first reader.
