EverReed field guide

A book tracker for your whole reading life.

EverReed is a book tracking app for iOS, Android and web. Keep a reading log of books you want to read, are reading, have finished or have put aside. Save your progress, ratings and reviews, then use that history to help choose your next book.

What you get

Designed around the way readers actually move.

  • Keep a reading log that reflects real life

A book does not have to be either unread or finished. Track want-to-read, reading, finished, paused, dropped and rereading states, so your library reflects where you actually are.

  • Remember your progress and reading dates

Record how far you have read and when you finish. Your reading history helps you look back at completed books without relying on memory or a separate spreadsheet.

  • Save what you thought of a book

Keep your own ratings and reviews with your books. A personal reading log records your response to a story, as well as the fact that you read it.

  • Give your TBR a place alongside your finished books

Save books you want to read and organize your collection with shelves. Keep future reads in the same library as current and completed books, with their different statuses visible.

  • Follow a reading goal at your own pace

Set a yearly target and see how many books you have finished that year. You can edit or remove the goal when your plans change.

Useful details

Frequently asked questions.

How do I start tracking the books I read?

Start with your current book and a few recent reads. Add them to your EverReed library, choose a reading status, and record progress or a rating when useful. You can build your reading history gradually; you do not need to reconstruct every book you have ever read.

Can I track a book without uploading an ebook file?

Yes. Adding a book to your reading log is separate from uploading a file to read. You can track books you read elsewhere. The built-in reader and personal-server connections are optional ways to read supported files you already own.

Can I bring my Goodreads or StoryGraph reading history?

EverReed supports CSV imports from Goodreads and StoryGraph. Review the import preview before saving; the information available depends on your export. Importing an account library is separate from making a public Reading Receipt card.

Does the book tracker also help me choose what to read next?

Yes. Your library and reading feedback help shape EverReed’s Taste DNA profile. Recommendations use that profile, and Reader Insight explains why a book may fit. These are suggestions to consider, not a guarantee that you will enjoy every pick.

How is book tracking different from series tracking?

Your reading log records your status, progress and response to individual books. Series tracking connects those books to their reading order and helps you find the next entry or upcoming release. EverReed includes both, so you can follow a series and keep a personal record of each book.
